Historical Background: Arizona is renowned for its Indigenous heritage, the Wild West era and its natural wonders like the Grand Canyon. Its landscapes evoke the classic imagery of the American Southwest.

Route Type: The route was primarily on asphalt roads, but the pavement quality was often poor with frequent potholes and uneven surfaces. Some sections included high-traffic roads that posed safety concerns.
